The Manufacturer Top 100 began in 2013 as awareness campaign to help address the lack of visible role models in the manufacturing industry. We wanted to provide a platform for the most inspiring individuals in the industry, to illustrate the enthusiasm and commitment present in modern manufacturing and to underscore the exciting, well-paid, and rewarding careers that exist in our sector.

The 100 individuals that are nominated are among the very best UK manufacturing has to offer, and we want to continue to showcase the people who make a truly exceptional contribution to the sector every day. They are the driving force behind the country’s manufacturing renaissance, and to understand their individual journeys is to understand why it is truly inspiring to be manufacturing in Britain today.

What's Involved?

The Top 100 comprises of a report and event recognising an elite group of individuals identified as manufacturing champions. The report helps to provoke more widespread competitiveness within the sector, highlighting not only best practice but inspiring others to follow suit.

Shortlisted individuals are nominated by readers of The Manufacturer, the wider industrial community and the public, for their contributions in changing the face of industry; finding new markets; making marked investment in people, processes and customers; and for those making an impact disproportionate to their years.

If successful, nominees are invited to attend The Manufactrer Top 100 ceremony, which takes place as part of Digital Manufacturing Week.
